Deal of the Week | Apr. 12, 2013: Car/Home Charger & Cable for iPhone/iPod for $7.99

Mini 3-in-1 charger for iPod and iPhone for $7.99That single charger and cable that came with your iPhone or iPod? Not enough.

For one thing, it doesn’t help when you’re in the car. This kit fixes that. Now you can charge your iOS device anywhere there’s a 12V DC outlet.

Keep the original charger at home, and this one at the office – or maybe next to your favorite chair in the living room. Because there’s never a good time to run out of battery charge.

Works with iPhones and iPods using the 30-pin dock connector (iPhone 3, 3GS, 4GS and last-generation and earlier iPods). Not compatible with iPad or any iOS devices using 8-pin Lightning connectors. Get the full story here.

Deal of the Week | Apr. 5, 2013: 8-Pin Lightning to USB cable for $4.99

8-pin Lightning to USB cable for $4.99We’ve been doing this whole Deal of the Week thing for a while now. And a lot of the bargains we’ve featured have been on cables, chargers, docks, and adapter sets that work with older-model iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

Apple is gradually moving its iOS devices away from the venerable 30-pin connector to the 8-pin Lightning connector.

If you’ve been waiting for a deal on a Lightning cable – something that will actually work with your sleek and sexy iPhone 5 – then this week’s DOTW is for you.

Get all the details here.

UPDATE 04.10.13: Our Medford location is now sold out. Our Bend location currently has nine of them in stock.

BREAKING NEWS: Apple announces 128GB versions of iPad with Retina display (4th generation)

Apple iPad with Retina display, in white and blackThere’s no such thing as too much storage, especially when it comes to mobile devices.

Yesterday, Apple announced a 128GB version of the fourth generation iPad with Retina display. The 128GB iPad with Wi-Fi ($799.99) and iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular ($929.99) models provide twice the storage capacity of the 64GB models. That means more room – a lot more room – for your photos, documents, projects, presentations, books, movies, TV shows, music and apps.

Connecting Point is your local iPad expert. We’ve carried the Apple iPad line since its first day of introduction (that was April 3rd, 2010, you may recall), we stock all kinds of accessories and enhancements for them, and – as with any purchase from Connecting Point – the tech support is free… and for life.

To find out more about these, or any other iPad models (including availability), we invite you to use our handy online information request form.

iPad minis begin trickling in…

iPad mini: The full-blown iPad that fits in one hand.

We once thought them to be a mythical creature, akin to the unicorn or the jackalope, but we’re now True Believers: the iPad mini is real.

And we even have some available for sale. Specifically, our Medford store has the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB Wi-Fi models (only in black, and you may recall the LTE – AKA 4G – models won’t begin shipping until later this month).

Our Bend store has, at the time of this post, eight of the 32GB Wi-Fi models on hand — four in white, and four in black.

The iPad mini has been wildly popular and crazy-difficult to keep in stock. If you have holiday gifting plans built around one, you might want to act now. These are not going to be around for long.

UPDATE MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12: Our Bend location is down to two 32GB Wi-Fi models (both white). But our Medford location has all Wi-Fi models and colors in stock, with the exception of 16GB white.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

You know that horrible sinking feeling when you realize your iPhone or iPod is just about out of juice, and you don’t have your charger handy? Now, no matter where you are, you can keep your iOS device fully charged. A charger for home or office, a charger for the car, and a cable to fit either one. Works with most iPhones or iPods (except for the new iPhone 5 and the latest 5th-generation iPod touch, both of which use a new, incompatible 8-pin dock connector).

And at this price (just $7.99), how can you afford not to get one?

This offer runs from Friday, November 2nd to Thursday, November 8th, 2012, or while supplies last. Sorry, no rain checks.
