All service work performed by Connecting Point’s Service Department comes with a 90 day limited parts and labor warranty. There are, however, some reasonable restrictions and exceptions to this warranty:
RE-REPAIRS Damages that result from spills, drops, or (in the case of viruses, spyware, adware, and other infectious agents out of our control) re-infection, or other accidental (or intentional) damage are not covered by the 90-day Connecting Point Service warranty.
DATA RECOVERY While our skilled technicians offer considerable expertise at recovering and preserving information from damaged media, Connecting Point cannot guarantee the viability of recovered data.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE If you re-break a connector or device that Connecting Point had correctly installed or repaired, it is not covered under the repair warranty.
REPAIRS PERFORMED AT ANOTHER FACILITY are not covered by Connecting Point’s Service warranty.
Connecting Point SERVICE‘s labor rates are as follows…
RAM or AirPort Card installation: $25 (in store)
ON-SITE LABOR: $139 first hour (one hour minimum) / $95 each hour thereafter. (This is within an approximately 20-mile radius of our location. Longer distances are subject to a mileage allowance.)
TIER 1: Diagnostics $45 | EXPEDITED* $139
- Test and diagnose system and provide estimate
- Install HDD (without operating system install)
- Install one card (video, sound, Ethernet, wireless, etc.)
- Install power supply
- Install optical drive
TIER 2: $95 | EXPEDITED* $139
